About Us

The restoration of the oldest existing building on the National Mall, a humble lockkeeper’s house, is the first step to unlocking the transformative potential for Constitution Gardens as the gateway to “America’s Front Yard.”

The Collection

The Lockkeepers Collection features a bespoke exquisitely handcrafted Lock and Key Collection—symbolizing our commitment to preserving our country’s rich history and unlocking its limitless possibility for generations to come. The collection is designed to uplift the human spirit through its elegance and timeless beauty and to serve as a reminder that we each hold the key to unlocking our country’s—and our own—potential. A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to the Trust for the National Mall, an official non-profit partner of the National Park Service dedicated to stewarding private support to transform the visitor experience and preserve the historic legacy of the National Mall.

The Beckstead Family

Sherrie Beckstead’s concept for this very special Limited Edition jewelry collection is
inspired by the lockkeeper’s house story and by her deep love for preservation,
education, and America’s history. Sherrie serves on the National Trust Leadership
Council for the Trust for the National Mall. Sherrie Beckstead is also an owner in the luxury
jewelry stores, Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers, in which her late husband Sidney was a
co-founder of the DC Metro based companies. Sherrie works with a team of craftsmen
on this project, including Goldsmith, Catherine Rudacille, a Virginia based master
craftswoman, as well as her new colleague on this project, Sherrelle Osborne, who also
has a great love and comprehension for the mission to expand this historic
collection. Beckstead is pleased and honored to work with The D3 Corporation, and
Andrew Max Link on the digital advancements.
